.
I really like the idea of using one thing for multiple purposes.
Notvery surprising, that I also like this plant.

It was the first day at Baan Poh Rak I had this tea, red,
sour and alittle bit sweet, made of the fruits of Gra Geap Daeng.
And then the dinner, more precisely this chilli paste: unbelievable good.
“What’s in there?”, Iasked. The answer of Wat with a smile:
the leaves of Gra Geap Daeng. It musthave been this moment,
when this plant became like a symbol for natural farmingfor me,
of knowledge about the nature,
about the variety of possibilitiesnature gives us.
Then it took some days till the third surprise,
which was actually notsuch a nice cause.
Chabaa had a bad wound on her foot with some water or pusinside.
Wat picked some Gra Geap Daeng leaves,
smashed them and put them on thewound.
“This will help to suck the fluid out”,
he said and I was just wondering(probably while having a Gra Geap Daeng tea ;-).
That those smashed leaves alsohelp when having a mature pimple,
I saw a little while later, when Chabaa was“curing”
Wat. What’s this amazing plant, I thought again.
And finally the day when we were working on the field, this rather hotday,
when Chabaa came to bring us some drink to refresh.
I don’t ask you toguess, because you probably know what I got as the answer,
when I asked Chabaa whatthis sweet and very tasty drink is made of:
“Very easy, just cook the Gra GeapDaeng fruits with sugar
and mix it with water if it’s to sweet for you, just asyou like.”
Any more questions, why I like Gra Geap Daeng?
